Buyers of the McCafé beverages will unlock an exclusive digital pack featuring an assortment of McDonald’s & Doodles items including Doodle avatars and digital wearables.
Doodles and MacDonad’s have partnered to launch the McCafé holiday cups campaign for this festive period. The collaboration allows those who purchase hot McCafé Coffee in a Doodles holiday cup at participating McDonald’s restaurants in the US to unlock exclusive digital collectibles.
Dubbed the “Good Morning” campaign, some of the experiences that those buying the McDonald’s and Doodles holiday coffee cups via the McDonald’s app can expect to unlock include character accessories, digital wearables for Doodles avatars, and special access to Doodles’ animated content in the “Stoodio” platform.
Each hot McCafé beverage will be served in cups featuring custom artwork from Doodles, the companies said via a press release shared with NFTgators.
The companies also plan to offer buyers an exclusive merch drop, which features a limited-edition collection of co-branded apparel and accessories featuring collaborative designs that blend McDonald’s beloved characters with Doodles’ signature artistic style.
The two companies are also bringing the popular GM, memes from social media to the experiences with a special track “Good Morning” by rising star Marley Bleu and produced by Pharrell Williams set to be released in early December.
Commenting on the announcement, Julian Holguin, CEO of Doodle said in a statement: “When you think about beloved brands that bring people together, McDonald’s immediately comes to mind. This partnership spans music, animation, collecting culture and online communities. It is a natural evolution of McDonald’s rich tradition of creator and brand collaborations. We’re excited to bring a fun experience to our community, to introduce millions of fans to Doodles and spread some joy with morning coffee this holiday season.”
To join the campaign, fans can purchase any size McCafé Coffee at participating McDonald’s locations across the U.S. Doodles said via a post on X that there are over 100 million limited-edition McCafé x Doodles Holiday cups on offer, to be purchased starting November 18.
