Fantasy, a decentralised card game that allows players to participate in fantasy betting and card trading has raised $4.25 million in a seed round led by Dragonfly, with participation from Manifold Ventures.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to advance its trading card game and fantasy betting experiences.
Popularly known by its website URL, Fantasy.top, the company also announced the launch of its V2, which comes packed with new features.
According to the announcement on the X platform on Thursday evening, the V2 features a Pack Shop, which allows users to experience new ways of collecting cards for a variety of packs including Jade, Emerald, Sapphire, Lavender and Shiny. The company is also adding advanced tactics and new game modes to the upgrade.
To celebrate the V2 launch, Fantasy also announced an airdrop allocating 25 fragments for all fantasy players and 20 for new players registering within the next five days. The company describes Fragments as the smallest units of a card. Players can choose to stack and redeem them to unlock different levels of rarity.
“You can earn them by competing, shopping, or burning common cards. Use them strategically in the shop to enhance your collection and unlock new opportunities,” the company wrote.
Commenting on the fundraising, Fantasy.top wrote, “We are honoured to have Dragonfly, the leading VC with an unmatched track record of supporting category-defining projects at the forefront of this round,” adding, “[and] equally grateful for the continued trust and partnership of Manifold in our journey.
