ZKcandy has announced a $4 million private round backed by Wemix Pte. Ltd., Animoca Ventures, Spartan Group, Perlone Capital, Presto Labs, Flowdesk, Prometheuz, Lecca Ventures, Efficient Frontier and angels from Stacks, Analog, and Xangle, among others.
The company plans to use the funds to accelerate the development of its Telegram-based gaming ecosystem, develop AI gaming agents and seal collaboration with IP holders to speed up the adoption.

ZKcandy is a product of the popular gaming studio iCandy. The company also claims to be the only Layer 2 chain with founding ties to a major game studio.
Commenting on the announcement via a blog post, Lau Kin Wai, CEO of ZKcandy said in a statement: “Our goal is to make Web3 gaming more open and accessible to everyone. We want to bring in top games and other large IPs and create a space where users can enjoy smooth, secure, and rewarding experiences.”
Telegram has emerged as one of the main destinations for popular Web3 gaming communities, as demonstrated by the successes of the likes of Notcoin, Hamster Kombat, Citizen and X Empire.
ZKcandy plans to expand its network of partners to support more AAA games and IPs, a move it claims will help “turn its early momentum into a long-term success.”
The company claims to have a pipeline of more than 25 game titles in various stages of going live, including “a Tier-1 Hollywood IP licensed game title.”
