Quick take:
Sei becomes the 10th chain in Magic Eden’s expanding ecosystem and will add Monad to that list when the layer-1 blockchain launches its testnet.
In October, Magic Eden added support for BeraChain and ApeChain, with the two becoming the 8th and 9th supported chains in its ecosystem.
Sei blockchain boasts fast transaction processing speeds, comparable to Web2 platforms.
Magic Eden has expanded its ecosystem to Sei Blockchain, the non-fungible token marketplace announced via an X post on Wednesday. According to the announcement, the multi-chain NFT platform launches on Sei with an NFT launchpad, a mint terminal and a marketplace.
The announcement comes barely six weeks after Magic Eden expanded support to BeraChain and ApeChain, with the two chains becoming the 8th and 9th networks in its rapidly growing ecosystem.
With its expansion to Sei, Magic Eden will now be accessible on ten blockchains and is on course to make Monad, the 11th on that list, when the layer-1 blockchain debuts on testnet.
Magic Eden’s expansion goes beyond offering NFT creation and trading tools on different blockchains.Â
In April, the company announced a collaboration with Aethir, the distributed cloud compute infrastructure provider to create a unified Web3 gaming ecosystem that leverages Aethir’s enterprise-grade GPU infrastructure and Magic Eden’s NFT platform.
In August, Magic Eden also announced it was adopting the ME token to facilitate a cross-chain NFT trading experience on its platform. Developed by the ME Foundation, the token will be accessible through the Magic Eden desktop and mobile wallet.
In April, Magic Eden became the largest NFT marketplace by transaction volume, largely driven by Runes’ debut and the platform’s expansion to the Bitcoin ecosystem.
