Having been part of the SquidGrow community for over two years, @SquiddyMeme was the creative force behind Squiddy, which has become the de facto meme representation of SquidGrow. He “deeply believes in” the project and, more than that, has “faith in Shibtoshi’s vision for SquidGrow.”

With his mother’s passion for art guiding his creative endeavors, @SquiddyMeme created his own version of Hokusai’s “Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji.”
The painting depicts a storm-tossed sea with a large wave spiraling over a boat steered by the Shiba Inu whale Shibtoshi, who maintains “a calm unwavering demeanor.” He is accompanied by Shiba Inu and protected by the ever-vigilant giant squid, with Mount Fuji, of course, in the background.

The artwork, titled “Shibtoshi,” is entirely hand-drawn to ensure it is “organic and soulful.” The painting received immense love from the community, as did Shibtoshi himself, who has since commissioned an exact Japanese-style hand-painted replica from the artist.
Filled “with a profound sense of achievement and pride,” the painter ended his message on X with, “Perhaps my lifelong fascination with Japanese art and culture was all leading to this moment, to this project, to this community.”
This overwhelming community support for Shibtoshi is no surprise, given that he is a firm believer in its value. The SquidGrow creator has described the growing project community as his “proudest achievement.”
